A candy-colored craft studio on 30th Avenue

Craft Pop is a neighborhood art and craft studio for kids in Astoria, Queens. Pink counters are lined with jars of charms, beads, paints and figure blanks, so children get to choose their own pieces instead of copying a kit.

Our guides show each step, help with the tricky parts, and then let kids decide what their project looks like. Little ones can work side by side with a parent; older kids usually fly solo.

  • Projects for preschoolers through tweens, and grown-ups who want to join in
  • Aprons, tools and every material included
  • Most projects finished in one visit and ready to take home

How a visit works

From empty table to "look what I made!"

Book a spot

Call, email or send the form with your child's age and the project you're curious about. We'll confirm a time.

Pick your pieces

At the studio, kids browse the supply counters and choose their cup, figure, colors and charms.

Make it together

A guide demonstrates each step and helps when needed. Parents are welcome to sit in or relax nearby.

Take it home

Most projects leave with you the same day. Pieces that need to dry can be picked up later.

Birthday parties & groups

Throw a craft party they'll actually remember

Bring the whole crew to Craft Pop for a birthday party in Astoria where every guest makes, and takes home, their own creation. We set up the tables, prep the materials, lead the craft and clean up the glitter.

We also host scout troops, classes, after-school groups and family get-togethers. Tell us how many kids are coming and we'll plan the project around them.
