Cream Glue Dessert Art in Astoria
Squeeze, swirl and decorate. Kids turn a plain cup, box or little house into a "dessert" piled with whipped cream and candy charms that lasts forever.
All the fun of decorating a cake, none of the sugar
Cream glue is a thick, frosting-like craft glue that you pipe through a nozzle just like real whipped cream. While it's soft, kids press in faux fruit, candies, cookies, animals and pearls. Once it dries, everything locks in place and the piece is ready for a shelf or desk.
It's sometimes called decoden craft, and it's one of the projects kids ask for again and again.

Cream glue questions
What age is cream glue art good for?
Most kids from about age 4 can pipe and decorate with a little help. Younger children do best with a parent at the table. Tweens and teens enjoy bigger pieces like houses and trays.
Is it messy? Is it safe?
It's a sticky craft, so we provide aprons and wipes. Cream glue is a craft material, not food, so it should never be tasted. Our guides keep an eye on the youngest crafters.
How long until it's dry?
The surface firms up within a few hours, and the piece is fully set in about a day. You can carry it home carefully the same day, or let it dry at the studio and pick it up later.
Can we do this for a birthday party?
Yes, cream glue is a great party craft because every guest leaves with a colorful keepsake. See our birthday party page or call (718) 587-7868 to plan one.
