Kids Craft Workshops in Astoria

Seven hands-on projects, all with materials included. Kids choose their own colors and decorations, so no two finished pieces ever look the same.

01

Choose freely

Kids pick their base, colors and charms straight from our supply counters.

02

Guided steps

A studio guide shows each technique and steps in only when help is wanted.

03

Right-sized

We match the project and its difficulty to your child's age and patience.

04

Take it home

Finished pieces go home with you; anything still drying can be picked up later.

Suggested ages are a guide, not a rule. Younger kids are welcome on most projects with a grown-up helping.

Pink cream glue sundae cup with balloon toppers and piggy charms made at Craft Pop

Cream Glue Dessert Art

  • Ages 4 and up
  • Our signature project
  • About 60โ€“90 minutes

The craft that fills our display shelves. Kids pipe thick, frosting-like cream glue onto a sundae cup, a trinket box or a little house, then press in faux candies, fruit slices, animals and pearls. It looks good enough to eat, but it's for keeping.

Pom-Pom Art

  • Ages 3 and up
  • Best first craft
  • About 45 minutes

Little ones glue soft pom-poms onto an outline (a chick, a rainbow, a favorite animal) to make a fluffy picture for their wall. No sharp tools, no tricky steps, just lots of color and a big smile at the end.

Tiny clay croissants, buns and pastries arranged in miniature baskets and trays

Miniature Food

  • Ages 6 and up
  • For detail lovers

Punk Robot Building

  • Ages 7 and up
  • For builders
  • About 60โ€“90 minutes

Wooden blocks, gears, springs and little metal parts become a one-of-a-kind robot with personality. Kids decide on the eyes, arms, wings and accessories, then assemble their bot step by step. A favorite with kids who love taking things apart.
